SUMMER BIRDS OF THE JAMAICA BAY WATERSHED

Focus: early season migrating and breeding shorebirds, water birds, marsh species, and coastal songbirds

Car pool fee: $12
Itinerary: This car pool trip will visit locations frequented by shorebirds along Jamaica Bay locales starting with Plumb Beach; likely, in clockwise order afterwards, also visiting Chisholm State Park, Jamaica Bay Refuge and Fort Tilden Gateway unit (with beach fishing permit.) This is a marathon all day trip likely ending 6 pm after the early morning start. There will be no early departures/dropoffs for public transportation.
Note: Current club members will receive priority. Each person must register individually; you may not register additional participants. Please bring sun hat, sunblock, insect repellent, plenty of water, lunch, snacks and stamina.
