A Duck Walk Marathon of Southern Jamaica Bay

Trip Details: The walking tour distance is about 9 miles. Starting at Jamaica Bay Refuge Visitors Center (From A train Broad Channel station), the walk-– after a loop of the West pond and spur trail to the East & Big Johns Ponds –will proceed south along Cross Bay Boulevard and over the bridge where the party will continue its westward walk along the south bay shoreline towards Fort Tilden Park and the Q 35 bus. We may venture abit in Tilden’s beaches for seabirds. The distance from JBWR visitor’s center to Tilden is about 6.4 miles. This is a public transportation trip likely meeting first at Jay Street stop for the “A” train.
