For those preferring to come by car, meet in the Aviator Parking lot around 8 a.m.  https://goo.gl/maps/9AGVbhyAN8XQ2uuD9  No car pools will be organized.

Leader: Peter Dorosh 347-622-3559 (text only for the early morning of the trip; Inquiries or questions prior trip date please email Prosbird@gmail.com)

Focus: The agenda will be a walking tour throughout Floyd Bennett Field in search of a species known as “grasspipers”, or shorebirds that prefer drier non-marsh habitat. These rare shorebirds prefer places like runways. We will be looking for other migrating species as well in this fun endeavor.

Notes: Bring lunch, plenty of water, insect repellent, and good walking shoes. The walking is flat and casually paced with likely 5 miles total distance. If you want to bring a scope, a light one is best. We expect a walk ending at 2:30 pm. There are restrooms available.
