Prospect Park Saturday Fall Migration Walks
An event every week that begins at 12:00 am on Saturday, repeating until October 10, 2020
Leader: Dennis Hrehowsik
We are excited to announce we will be reviving our fall migration walks with COVID-19 protocols in place.
We are requiring participants to register in advance. Each walk is strictly limited to 12 participants to allow for adequate social distancing.
Walk-ups will NOT be permitted. Masks which cover nose and mouth will be required to be worn at all times.
The Saturday walks will start at the park entrance at Ocean Avenue and Parkside Avenue. Meeting time will be provided upon registration.
REGISTRATION: Registration is by email only, to: firstname.lastname@example.org The registration period will open at 7 p.m. on the Wednesday before each Saturday walk and will close at midnight on Thursday. Current club members will receive priority. If you need to cancel please do so at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer someone your spot; no-shows will be moved to the bottom of the list for future walks.
Please don’t sign up if:
- You have had a temperature or any sign of sickness or a cough within the last 14 days
- You haven’t been vigilant about always wearing a mask in public places, or if you’re in close contact with any others who may not be as vigilant with masks or have frequented high risk activities such as clubs or parties.
We apologize for these measures but with such limited numbers we have to be strict; and we want to ensure that everyone is safe and that we can continue these walks throughout the fall migration season. We hope to relax these policies as soon as it is feasible to do so. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to fall birding with you!
