Note: In mid June 2019, the trip leader recorder seven species tern; hopefully 2020 will be as productive. This trip leaves quite early from Brooklyn to avoid the high admission fee into Nickerson. On the later visit, Hempstead Plains Preserve is a small preserve and wildflower haven that will be the BBC’s location debut.
