SUMMARY:A Long Coastal Trek from Sheepshead Bay to Coney Island
DESCRIPTION:Meet 8:30 am at Holocaust Memorial Park at the west end of Sheepshead Bay\, at Emmons Avenue side\n https://goo.gl/maps/PpmEQ6bGkycyaFqG7 \nLeader:  Peter Dorosh  347-622-3559 (text only) \nFocus:  Ducks\, Gulls\, waterfowl species\, and occasional songbird or shorebird here and there. \nItinerary: We will cover Sheepshead Bay and Manhattan Beach; then two options depending on the latest bird reports: one\, finish at Plumb Beach a mile east; or 2) west along Brighton Beach to Coney Island. Depending on time\, we may visit Coney Island Creek last. \nNotes: Expect a good amount of walking\, approximately 7 miles; bring a scope if you have one. The nearest train to the meeting spot is the Q line at Sheepshead Bay stop several blocks away. Bring lunch and dress warmly if necessary. \nNote: Access is by public transportation or own vehicle; we will not be arranging car pools. \n
