DESCRIPTION:Meet 8:30 am at the Salt Marsh Visitors Center (Avenue U) \nLeader: Peter Dorosh 347-622-3559 (text only) \nPlease register (for weather alert): Prosbird@gmail.com or Prosbird@aol.com \nFocus: Celebrate winter’s halfway point with an exploration of an excellent location for typical winter birds: waterfowl\, gulls\, and passerines \nItinerary: We will hopefully find good reports from the previous week and search for those birds. We may also visit the rarely visited south west section of the park. \nNotes: Expect a good amount of walking\, approximately 4 miles; bring a scope if you have one. The B3 bus along Ave U accessed from the F and Q train lines from the west stops outside the visitors center or transfer from Bus 41 \,etc to Kings Plaza are possibilities. Bring lunch and dress appropriately for cold weather. The center opens at 1pm. \nParking is available in the Marine Park lot but we will not be arranging car pools. \n
