New Date: Atlasing a Priority Block at Calvert Vaux Park

Participant number limit : 15

Participants can use public transportation or drivers are free to take their own cars with their family or “birding pod.” Due to COVID, the BBC will not be arranging car pools.

Focus: Calvert Vaux is located in a priority block for the New York Breeding Bird Atlas and contains a variety of habitats. Help document breeding behaviors of species including warblers, buntings, flycatchers, swallows, woodpeckers, night herons, and kingfishers.

Registration Period: June 20th – June 24th Current club members will receive priority. Each person must register individually; you may not register additional participants.

Please don’t sign up if:

  • You have had a temperature or any sign of sickness or a cough within the last 14 days
  • You haven’t been vigilant about always wearing a mask in public places, or if you’re in close contact with any others who may not be as vigilant with masks or have frequented high risk activities such as clubs or parties.
