DESCRIPTION:Please join us for our first annual BBC Member’s Night Picnic and Bug Expo! \nWhen: June 21st at 6:30 -10PM\nWhere: Nethermead\, Prospect Park \nBring your own Picnic\, Blankets\, Chairs\, etc. \nWhen it starts to turn dark\, we will set up a Bug Sheet. What’s a bug sheet\, you may ask? It’s simply a big\, white cloth hung outside at night with a bright light shining on it. Moths\, beetles and other night-flying insects are drawn to the light and will land on the sheet so we can easily see them. \nThis method is used by scientists and nature-lovers alike\, to watch and study insects up close. It’s a fun way for us to discover the amazing colors and behaviors of insects under the stars — it’s like a bug party on the sheet! \nInsect aficionado Matthew Wills is going to join us to help with bug IDs! \n
