SUMMARY:Prospect Park Thursday Spring Migration Walks
DESCRIPTION:Leaders: Tom Stephenson\, Karen O’Hearn\, and others TBA \nWe are excited to announce we will be reviving our spring migration walks with COVID-19 protocols in place. \nWe are requiring participants to register in advance. The Thursday walks will be divided into two groups\, each with no more than 20 participants and one leader.  If enough people leave early\, the two walks may recombine if numbers permit.\n \nWalk-ups will NOT be permitted. Masks which cover nose and mouth will be required to be worn at all times. \nThe Thursday walks will start at Grand Army Plaza. Meeting time will be provided upon registration. \nREGISTRATION:  Registration is by email only\, to: 12toms@gmail.com The registration period will open at 7 p.m. on the Monday before each Thursday walk and will close at midnight on Tuesday.  Current club members will receive priority. Each person must register individually; you may not register additional participants. If you need to cancel please do so at least 24 hours in advance so we can offer someone your spot; no-shows will be moved to the bottom of the list for future walks. \nPlease don’t sign up if: \n\nYou have had a temperature or any sign of sickness or a cough within the last 14 days\nYou haven’t been vigilant about always wearing a mask in public places\, or if you’re in close contact with any others who may not be as vigilant with masks or have frequented high risk activities such as clubs or parties.\n\nWe apologize for these measures but with such limited numbers we have to be strict; and we want to ensure that everyone is safe and that we can continue these walks throughout the migration season. We hope to relax these policies as soon as it is feasible to do so. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to birding with you! \n
