SUMMARY:Winter Draws Down in Hempstead Lake State Park
DESCRIPTION:Leader: Peter Dorosh \nParticipant limit: 16 \nNote: It’s been a long time since our last club visit to Hempstead Lake SP\, and the first in late winter. There will be plenty of walking as we explore this site on official trails around the lake. \nFocus: Primarily an exploratory walk in a new site for winter passerines residing or migrating through\, and the usual waterbirds\, sparrows\, and raptors. \nRegistrar: Peter Dorosh\, email Prosbird@gmail.com \nRegistration Period: March 1st-March 5th \nCarpool fee: $15.00 \nItinerary: An early start to this all day visit will bring us to official trails around the southern ponds and lake as well through woods.
