DESCRIPTION:Leader: Peter Dorosh\nFocus: Autumn songbird migration\, marsh and wetland species\nCar fee: $150.00\nRegistrar: Peter Dorosh Prosbird@aol.com (or backup Prosbird@gmail.com) Registration Period: August 1st-Sept 11th  \n \nNote: Trip caps at 12 members; this is a three night hotel stay (staying somewhere near Annapolis) with the trip leaving early Saturday morning\, returning Tuesday late afternoon/early evening. \nTrips Synopsis: This four day journey will be the club’s first trip to the Upper Chesapeake Bay western shores. A major estuary and massive body of water\, the Chesapeake Bay can seen prominently from space and is a rich ecosystem for birds and wildlife alike. The western shores serve as an autumn rest stop for migrating birds particularly with northwest winds and the bay’s intimidating barrier. Several prime locations can potentially be great birding spots under the right conditions: Sandy Point State Park\, Terrapin Nature Park\, Black Marsh State Park\, Jug Bay Wetlands and even small spots like Smithsonian Environmental Research Center (SERC)\, Fort Smallwood County Park \,and Greenbury Point Nature Center.
