SUMMARY:Finding Ducks of Jamaica Bay and Rockaway
DESCRIPTION:Meet 7:30 am on the 7th Ave-Park Slope Station Manhattan bound F train center platform downstairs. We will proceed to Jay Street A train for Rockaway. Otherwise\, if coming from other locations\, you can meet the group at the Jamaica Bay Visitors Center by 8:45 am. \nLeader:  Peter Dorosh  347-622-3559 (text only) \nPlease register (for weather alert and questions):   Prosbird@gmail.com or Prosbird@aol.com \nFocus: Ducks will be our objective with the hope for 15 duck species as well as other winter delights. \nItinerary: After the Jamaica Bay duck tally\, we may lunch in the center if allowed or choose to eat at a place on Broad Channel. Afterwards we proceed walking  to Big Egg Marsh over the Cross Bay bridge (depending on time)  or by A train to Rockaway’s last stop at 116th Street for sea ducks. We can pick up the Q 35 bus homeward from 116th. \nNotes: Expect a good amount of walking\, approximately 5 miles; bring a scope if you have one. \nDrivers may park at Jamaica Bay Visitor’s center but we will not be arranging car pools. \n
