Coastal Spring in Jones Beach

Focus: The first weekend after spring starts focuses on seabirds, raptors and songbird migrants returning to their northerly breeding grounds. Coastal birding can be exciting in the early days of spring.

Notes: Bring lunch, plenty of water, warm apparel for chilly weather, and good walking shoes. The walking is flat , on beach and dune trail, casually paced with likely 4 miles combined of various stops. Bring a scope if you own one.

Carpool fee: $15 This is a carpool trip; drivers and members get priority.
