Croton Point Park: Memorial walk for Paul Keim
February 14
Leader: Peter Dorosh
Focus: Bald Eagles, waterfowl, typical winter residents, sparrows,
We continue to celebrate the memory of our late President emeritus Paul Keim in this second commemoration, at one of Paul’s favorite locations: Croton Point Park. In winter, Bald Eagles are seen passing through, even perching in this park’s trees. On the Hudson River, ducks abound and the landfill mound produces surprises. The leader has spent many walks with Paul to this lovely park in the quiet solitude of winter.
Note: this is a Metro North train trip, leaving from Grand Central Station. Details will be given during the registration period. We are following the way Paul did it. Expect a good amount of walking and exploring.
Registration Period: January 25th- February 12th
