Migration transitions in Far Rockaway
November 21
Participant limit: 16 members
Focus: This trip visits various locations in Far Rockaway–some rarely visited by the BBC. During late fall, the migration focus transitions to waterfowl migration and incoming winter passerines with hawks following through. Winter coastal spots can often be productive, as can inland areas. In November, unusual species can turn up anywhere. Specific spots to be visited may hinge on the latest conditions and reports.
Registrar: JoAnn Preston email jocrochet@verizon.net Members and drivers get priority.

Notes: Bring good walking shoes, and a scope if you have one – it’ll be useful at some locations we visit. We will do some walking, up to 3 -4 miles over mostly flat terrain over the course of the day. We expect the trip to complete early to mid-afternoon.
