Prospect Park Memorial Bird Walk for Paul Keim

April 26 @ 7:30 am - 12:00 pm

Leaders: Peter Dorosh and Dennis Hrehowsik

Meet 7: 30 a.m. at Bartel Pritchard Square Park Entrance at Prospect Park West

A tribute to President Emeritus and legendary birder Paul Keim, who passed away in August 2025. Paul—affectionately described by his wife, Debbie, as a “renaissance man”—was a true multi-talent: an exceptional birder, accomplished bird artist, and musician. His generosity of spirit led him to guide walks not only for the Brooklyn Bird Club, but also for many other organizations and the Girl Scouts throughout his lifetime. Through this work, he inspired and influenced birders and naturalists from all walks of life. Paul was a consummate birder and a cherished friend to many. His role in preserving, sustaining, and leading the Brooklyn Bird Club was both prominent and profound, leaving a lasting legacy that continues to shape the community today.

Join us to remember and reflect on Paul and his contributions. We will take some time to tell our stories before beginning the walk.

Note: Rain date is May 3rd.
