Under the Sun for Breeding Terns and Shorebirds at Nickerson Beach

Focus: Nickerson Beach is prime territory for a diversity of shorebirds and particularly terns. The wide open beach remarkably attracts many beach species. Historically, Nickerson Beach boasts 134 species for sightings in June ( https://ebird.org/hotspot/L508149?m=6&yr=all&changeDate=)

Registration Period: May 28th-June 1st
Notes: Bring lunch, sun hat, sunscreen, plenty of water and a scope if you have one. The walk is flat on the beach. This carpool trip will leave early, likely 6:30 am to beat the high non-resident parking/beach fee .
Carpool fee: $15 This is a carpool trip; drivers and members get priority.
