Pop-up trip: Nightgulling and doodlespotting at Brooklyn Bridge Park

Join locals Doug Gochfeld and Mike Yuan at the piers of Brooklyn Bridge Park, home to a nightly roost of thousands of gulls. We’ll see all expected species of gulls and possible rarities such as Lesser-black backed gull and Iceland Gull. We’ll also try to get close looks at a woodcock that has taken up residence in the park this winter and feeds at dusk. Short walks and prolonged standing on paved areas. Dress warmly, bring a scope (will have scopes to share), and eat your carrots for nighttime viewing.
