Prospect Park: Vanderbilt Playground

Leader: Tina Alleva Meet 8 a.m. at the Vanderbilt Street/Prospect Park Southwest Ave park entrance. No registration necessary. Focus: In this transitory period of fall to winter birds, the walk focuses on early typical late autumnal species, namely finches, chickadees, woodpeckers, nuthatches, creeper, wrens, ducks and other waterfowl, plus occasional raptors. Note: Dress warmly for the cooler season and possibly chilly walk.
